Cruzeiro Itaporanga U20

The most recent trophy at Cruzeiro de Itaporanga came from the academy rather than the first team. In 2024 the Sub-20 side beat Serra Branca over two legs to win the Campeonato Paraibano Sub-20, the club's first title at that level, a year after the seniors had taken the Terceira Divisão on penalties against Inter/Santa Rita. Before that, the closest the first team had come to a state title was finishing runner-up in the second division twice, in 2007 and 2012.

The club was founded on 28 October 1969 in Itaporanga, a town in the interior of Paraíba, and took its name and its blue-and-white colours from Cruzeiro of Belo Horizonte. Locally it goes by Raposa do Sertão, the Fox of the Sertão, a name that points to the dry backlands the city sits in.

There is no city derby to speak of — Itaporanga has no other side in professional football — so the sharper rivalries run north to Patos, against Nacional and Esporte, and out across the state to Treze, a name that still carries weight regardless of division. Home matches are played at the Estádio Municipal José Barros Sobrinho, known to everyone simply as Zezão, which holds 3,000.
