Estádio Municipal Juca Sampaio holds 5,000 people in Palmeira dos Índios. The club took its green, white and maroon from Fluminense, a debt of colour rather than geography, and has carried the nickname Tricolor since it was still called Centro Social Esportivo. It became CSE in 1997, decades after it first took shape in Palmeira dos Índios in 1945, with the club's own founding date set at 21 June 1947.

The senior side has come close to the state title without ever landing it, finishing runner-up in the Campeonato Alagoano in 1977 and again in 1987. What silverware there is has come lower down: the Segunda Divisão in 2002 and 2019, and the Copa Alagoas in 2023 and 2025.

The under-20 side has its own line of history, separate from the first team's near-misses. It won the Campeonato Alagoano Sub-20 in 2021, a state youth title that sits alongside the seniors' cup runs rather than beneath them. The following year brought a harder lesson: Náutico ended the side's Copa do Brasil Sub-20 campaign in the first phase, a reminder of the gap between winning in Alagoas and surviving a national bracket.

Among those who wore the shirt, Hamílton Lima e Silva passed through CSE in 1983 and 1984 before moving on to Cruzeiro and Internacional.
