«Galo»
Luiz Gustavo and Marcos Rocha came through this academy before anyone outside Alagoas had heard of them — three names that give the CRB Sub-20 side its real claim on attention, ahead of anything it has won at its own level.
The team itself carries no separate founding date; it sits inside a club that has run since 1912 in Maceió, and it plays under the same red and white, the same Galo nickname, at Estádio Rei Pelé when it gets the ground to itself. Training happens away from that stage, at CT Ninho do Galo in Barra de São Miguel, open since December 2015.
Silverware at this level has been scarce. The 2024 Campeonato Alagoano Sub-20 is the one title on record, and CRB took it unbeaten, closing out the final with a 4-0 win over Jaciobá that sent the squad into the following year's Copa do Brasil Sub-20 and Copa do Nordeste Sub-20.
Getting there took three failed attempts. CRB lost the Alagoano Sub-20 final to CSA in 2013, again in 2018, and again in 2023 — the same fixture, the Clássico das Multidões, that defines the senior sides' rivalry, replayed a generation down. The 2024 final against Jaciobá broke that pattern, but it is CSA the age group keeps measuring itself against.
