The Copa do Nordeste Sub-20 came to Fortaleza in 2025, reaching the Série B final in 2026.
The players come out of Cidade Vozão – Luis Campos Training Center, opened in 2014. The academy sits behind a club that began in 1914 as Rio Branco Football Club and took the name Ceará Sporting Club a year later. Vozão — Big Grandpa — stuck as the nickname; the black and white gave the other, Alvinegro.
Home is the Estádio Governador Plácido Aderaldo Castelo, the Castelão, with 63,903 seats, though a youth fixture rarely fills a corner of it. The club's own Estádio Carlos de Alencar Pinto holds around 3,000 and does the ordinary weeks. When the age-group sides meet Fortaleza Esporte Clube in the Clássico-Rei, the attendance figure does not explain the edge.
