Dinamo-Shinnik

Dinamo-Shinnik started life in 2010 as Minsk Zubry, a junior side inside HC Dinamo Minsk's structure, before a cooperation deal between Dinamo and Belshina pulled the team south a year later. The move brought it to the newly built Bobruisk Arena, and the club took the name that stuck: Shinnik, after the tyre plant, with Shinniki as the nickname supporters still use alongside the more affectionate Bobry.

That first Bobruisk season produced the club's high point: the 2010–11 Belarusian Higher League title, sealed with a 3–1 playoff win over Yunior Minsk that swung on a wild 7–1 third game. Yunior has remained the team to beat ever since, and the fixture between the two is still known locally as the Molodezhnoe Derby.

The junior programme folded after the 2014–15 season, and the Shinnik name sat dormant until it was revived for 2022–23. The comeback has been steady rather than spectacular: a second-place finish in the Silver Division of the Western Conference in 2024–25, a Play-In series won against Almaz Cherepovets, and promotion to the Gold Division. A preseason tournament win last August, with victories over Typhoon, Krylya Sovetov and Stalnye Lisy, carried that momentum into the new campaign. The club has also sent players through to Dinamo Minsk's KHL roster, among them Danila Karaban.

White and blue remain the base colours, with orange added in 2023–24 as a nod to the youth of the squad and to the Bobruisk Citadel. Games are still played at the Bobruisk Arena, which holds just over 7,000 and once earned the club an MHL award for the best-supported team in the league.
