It moved up through the Kati district third division in 2023-2024, then the Koulikoro regional second tier the following year, before its first taste of the Première Division in 2025-2026. Behind the team stands ABM Foot Academy, set up in 2022 with backing from the British investment firm Sport Republic; Mali Coura, registered with the Malian football federation in September 2023, is its senior side, wearing the academy's orange and black.

The base is south of Bamako, in Samanyana, also known as Monzonga, in the rural commune of Mandé, where the club plays at the Complexe Sidaty Cissé. A run to the quarter-finals of the Coupe Sidaty Cissé in 2024 remains the closest the club has come to a trophy.

What sets the side apart is who fills it.
