Morris Elite Women

Madison, New Jersey, is a Morris County town shaped by Drew University, and it is the university's Ranger Stadium that has hosted Morris Elite Soccer Club's women's side since the team joined the USL W League in 2022, the first club from New Jersey admitted to the league. When the campus ground isn't free, the side plays instead at Frederick Douglass Field, on the Rutgers-Newark campus.

The club itself is older than that debut. Vincenzo Bernardo, a former professional footballer, founded Morris Elite in 2016 as a youth academy, and the senior women's team arrived only once the USL W League opened a path into it. Morris Elite marks ten years since that founding in the 2026/27 season, with a new kit from adidas alongside the usual sky blue and white; the away strip is red.

On the field, the club has won the Metropolitan Division's regular-season title twice, in 2022 and 2023, without turning either into a conference or league trophy. The 2023 campaign was the sharper of the two: Morris Elite scored 54 goals in 12 matches, a division record, and beat the Long Island Rough Riders 3-2 in the Eastern Conference semi-final before the run ended. The previous year's playoffs went the other way entirely — an 0-8 quarter-final defeat followed a title-winning regular season. Home games against FC Motown STA carry the label Morris County Derby.

In August 2025, New York Cosmos named Morris Elite their official affiliate for youth development, a multi-year partnership. Riley Cross and Amari Manning, both capped for the United States at youth level, came through the club before moving on to Penn State and North Carolina respectively. Morris Elite finished second in its division in 2024 and third in 2025; Daisy Duda and Alessia Cerulo lead the scoring this season.
