«De Grønne»
Aveka Singh has played her football far from where most people expect an India international to end up: on loan at a Danish second-tier club, wearing green and white. Goalkeeper Teagan Fleming-Hübertz arrived the same way. Neither found the club through history. Næstved HG only took shape in July 2021, when Næstved IF folded the women's football department of Herlufsholm Gymnastikforening into itself and, with it, inherited Herlufsholm's promotion-winning license from the 2020–21 Danish Women's 1st Division season.
The arrangement borrowed everything from the men's side of the operation: the name, the nickname "De Grønne," and the stadium. The identity was ready-made; the results have had to be built from nothing since.
