Njardvik

In 2019, a run in the Icelandic Cup carried Njarðvík to the last sixteen.

The football branch dates to 1968, split off from the wider UMFN sports club that had existed since 1944, and it has spent most of the decades since shuttling between the second tier, 1. deild karla, and the third, 2. deild karla. The third division is where the honours board actually lives: Njarðvík topped it in 1981, again in 2017, and again in 2022, with a League Cup B win attached to that last title. The step above has proved harder to hold. In 2025 the club finished second in 1. deild karla.

Players have passed through more often than they have stayed. Óskar Örn Hauksson spent 2001 to 2003 at the club before going on to become KR Reykjavík's record scorer in the top division and, in 2019, the league's player of the year. Malaysian forward Luqman Hakim Shamsudin wore the shirt in 2024.
