Ølgod were put out 5-3, Holstebro BK edged 4-3, and then Vejle Boldklub beaten 3-1 in the final.

The first had come 15 years earlier, in the A-series of the same regional championship, when the club was still inside its third decade — Ringkjøbing Idrætsforening was formed on 29 March 1900, in the town of the same name in western Jutland, and is known locally by the short form RIF. Nothing since 1935 has been added to the list.

Competition outside Jutland arrived much later. RIF have entered DBU Pokalen since the 2018/19 season, and the run that took them furthest was in 2020/21: the first round, and a 2-0 defeat by Vendsyssel FF.

Home matches are played at the Green Arena, a ground that most people in the town still call Alkjær Stadion. The club plays in blue and white, although the arrangement is not the obvious one — the home shirt is white, and the blue is left to the shorts and socks.
