Singleton Strikers

David Andrews scored the goal that won Singleton a grand final in 1992, and he is now among the club's life members. In 2020 they beat New Lambton 2–0 to take Northern NSW League One, the second tier of football in the region.

In 1987, playing in the Coalfields All Age Soccer Association, Singleton took the premiership in first grade and reserve grade in the same season. They repeated the double three years later in the Northern NSW Football Federation's fourth division.

The Strikers were founded in 1978 in Singleton, in the Hunter Valley of New South Wales. They are known as the Wildhogs and play in maroon and white.

Howe Park on Boundary Street is the home of the premier and senior sides.

Jagger Wholert came through the junior ranks and moved into the Newcastle Jets academy, playing in the under-13 and under-16 sides before a national team camp call-up in 2019.

There is no derby with a name attached, though a trip to Cessnock City Hornets has been described locally as one, and games against Thornton Redbacks tend to be fiery.
