Kattekurgan beat Bukhdu 2:0 in the Pro-Liga A regular season on 13 September. The visitors scored twice in the second half after Bukhdu had been reduced to ten men just before the break. I. Mamatkazin opened the scoring in the 61st minute, and S. Makhmudov added a second four minutes later.
Bukhdu went into the break down after a red card in the 45th minute. They let the tie slip, and Kattekurgan were quick to punish them. Mamatkazin's goal came soon after the interval, and the hosts could not recover. By then Bukhdu were already out of the race.
We had called for an away win, and the result confirmed that call. Kattekurgan did not travel to make up the numbers, but they took advantage when it mattered. Bukhdu refused to go away, but their fight was short-lived.
Kattekurgan's own red card came in the 67th minute, but they saw the game out. Makhmudov's goal in the 71st minute sealed the win and left Bukhdu with nothing to show for their efforts.
Bukhdu remain 12th with 10 points from 18 games. They have lost 14 of those matches and are well adrift of the top half. Kattekurgan stay 5th on 33 points from 19 games, three wins clear of the teams below them.
