Young Boys Women

That name changed twice. The team began in 1970 as the women's section of FC Bern, and stayed there through ten championships and fifteen cup wins before splitting off on 15 June 2005 to become the independent FFC Bern. Four years later, in 2009, BSC Young Boys absorbed the club outright, and the side took on the yellow and black of the men's team along with its current name.

The current squad carries a mix of experience and new arrivals. Ramona Bachmann , a longstanding figure for the Swiss national team, joined in 2026, while German forward Lisa Jösten has been with the club since 2024. Captain Stefanie Weber leads a side that also includes Liechtenstein international goalkeeper Yara Ackermann.

Matches are played at the Stadion Neufeld in Bern, which holds 14,000, of which 3,000 are seated. The men's team plays across the city at the Wankdorf, but the women have kept Neufeld as their home ground throughout the club's various changes of name and ownership.
