Herzogenbuchsee Women

The 2022/2023 season put HV Herzogenbuchsee somewhere it had never been. The reward followed a year later, in 2023/2024, when the club took its first steps into European handball with an appearance in the EHF European League.

That breakthrough traces back to a club built on its own youth rather than recruitment. Fabian Bilger coaches the team, with Thomas Eggimann as club president.

The section traces back to 1968, when it began as the handball wing of the local gymnastics club before splitting off as an independent organisation in 1987. Known to their own supporters as Die Buchserinnen, they play in red and white.
