«Poreč»
Three bronze medals in a row, in 2021, 2022 and 2023, is the closest RK Poreč has come to a Croatian Premier League title, after first reaching that level in the 2003/2004 season. Two runner-up finishes in the Croatian Handball Cup, in 2011 and 2013, round out a record.
The club was founded on 20 June 1968. The 2009 World Men's Handball Championship brought a new arena to the city: the Žatika Sport Centre, opened in 2008 and holding 3,700 people.
That same year, 2008, the club switched its colours from blue and white to red and white, bringing them into line with Poreč's official municipal colours.
The club has taken part in European competition: the EHF Challenge Cup in 2006/2007, the EHF Cup Winners' Cup across 2011/2012 and 2012/2013, the EHF Cup in 2019/2020, and the EHF European League in 2021/2022.
3,700 seats at the Žatika Sport Centre is what the club fills, or tries to.
