A second-tier side beat Sporting 2:1 in the final of the Taça de Portugal in 2025/26.

Torreense won the Segunda Divisão in 1955 and went up to the Primeira Liga, finished seventh twice, and in total spent six seasons in the top flight before the last of them ended in relegation in 1991/92. What followed was a long way down and a slow way back: a penalty shoot-out win over Oliveirense in the Liga 3 final of 2021/22 returned them to the second tier after 24 years away.

The women's side got to a national trophy first. In May 2025 they beat Benfica 2:1 after extra time to win the Taça de Portugal Feminina, Salomé Prat scoring the goal that settled it. The following season they added the Supertaça and then the Taça da Liga, Gerda Konst finishing off Valadares Gaia in the 87th minute of a match that stayed at 0:0 almost to the end.

Home is the Estádio Manuel Marques in Torres Vedras, which holds 2,431. Red shirts, blue shorts.

Stephen Eustáquio was raised in the Torreense academy and went on to Porto and the Canada national team.
