Omaha Lancers hold the record for most Clark Cup titles in the history of the United States Hockey League — seven, won in 1990, 1991, 1993, 1994, 1998, and again in 2001 and 2008.

The Lancers have added five Anderson Cups for the best regular-season record, and their two USA Hockey Junior National Championships, in 2001 and 2008, arrived in the same seasons as a Clark Cup, pairing the league's playoff title with the national one.

For two years the team played as the River City Lancers before reverting to the Omaha name in 2004. Home games are played in Ralston, a stretch of Omaha's suburbs where the rivalry with the Lincoln Stars is fought out as the "I-80 Series".

The 2021–22 season broke that run of continuity: the coaching staff resigned and players boycotted games in a dispute over budget cuts and how they were being treated, a rupture that had no precedent in the club's record. Ownership changed hands twice in the years around it, passing to Crossbar Down, LLC in 2014 and then to Mike Picozzi in January 2022.

The alumni list runs from Paul Stastny to Thatcher Demko.
