Peja

When Peja meet Trepça, it is simply the Derbi — Kosovo basketball's oldest grudge match. Games against Sigal Prishtina carry their own weight too.

The club took the name Shqiponjat — the Eagles — from its own supporters' group, and the black-and-yellow colours have stayed constant even when the name around them didn't. Ilhami Gashi founded the side in 1993, but for a stretch after 2001 it played as KB Dukagjini Pejë under owner Ekrem Lluka, before reverting to KB Peja in 2005. In between, relegation on administrative grounds in 1996–97 and a missed season in 2003–04 broke up what has otherwise been one of the more decorated runs in the country's league.

That run reads in clusters rather than a steady climb: three Superleague titles in the mid-1990s (1994, 1995, 1996), then a long gap before 2004, and another before the club returned to the top in 2013 and again in 2023. Cup wins followed a similar rhythm, six in total, the most recent in 2020. The 2022 Liga Unike title marked the club's first regional crown, followed by a runner-up finish in the Balkan League the year after — evidence that Peja's ambitions now reach beyond the domestic game, where they made their European Cup debut in 2016–17 and have kept returning to continental competition since.

Home games are played at the Karagaç Sports Hall, a tight 2,500-seat venue in Peja. Coming off the 2023 Superleague title, the club now carries the pressure of defending it while trying to build on that Balkan League final appearance.
