Tallinna Kalev

In 1930, Tallinna Kalev were crowned champions of Estonia for the second time.

The club had been assembled rather than simply founded. On 27 May 1911, a side called Meteor, playing since 1909, merged with the sports society Kalev, and the combined team carried the Kalev name into the first generation of independent Estonian football.

That generation did not last. By 1962 the club had been wound up as an independent body.

In 2023 it finished third in the championship, a result that sent Kalev into UEFA Conference League qualifying for the first time in its history; two years later it was back down in the Esiliiga.

Black and white returned as the club's colours that same year, 2023. Ragnar Klavan, who played for Liverpool, is Kalev's president now.
