Burgos and Real Sociedad B played out a 2-2 draw in the third round of the Segunda División at Municipal El Plantío on Monday evening. The hosts took an early lead through a penalty before Real Sociedad B responded to level matters before Burgos went ahead again midway through the second half. The result leaves both sides on equal footing in the table, with Burgos sitting 15th and Real Sociedad B in 17th, both with one win and one defeat from their opening two matches. Burgos had shown some vulnerability in recent games, including a heavy 0-3 defeat to Athletic, while Real Sociedad B's form has been inconsistent with only one win from their past five fixtures. This draw means neither side has gained much ground on the other early in the campaign.
