Pogoń Szczecin beat Kraków 2-0 on Sunday
Pogoń Szczecin took three points from their second Ekstraklasa fixture, beating hosts Kraków 2-0 at the Cracovia Stadium. The result keeps Pogoń above their opponents in the table, though neither side has done enough yet to claim any kind of standing.
The home side had the first card when D. Kameri picked up a yellow in the ninth minute. Pogoń responded with a yellow of their own for L. Wahlqvist thirty-five minutes in, but then Leo Borges broke the deadlock just after the break. Forty-sixth minute and the visitors took the lead.
And here's the thing — Kraków kept pushing but Pogoń's defence held firm. A. Al Ammari went offside for a yellow in the forty-eighth minute, and then came a wave of changes. G. Henriksson and B. Selan came on for Kraków in the fifty-fourth and fifty-fifth minutes, while M. Wojciechowski joined Pogoń's line-up at sixty.
Kraków threw bodies forward but could not find the net. K. Zahiroleslam, A. Szalai, M. Klich, O. Kakabadze, and F. Cuic all saw time on the pitch, but it was not enough. P. Mukairu added a second for Pogoń in the ninety-fourth minute, and that was the game settled.
