Home side crush Treffelín with six goals
GAP Connah's Quay beat Treffelín 6–0 in the third round of the Premier League on Thursday evening. The hosts opened the scoring through J. Ferguson in the fourteenth minute, then H. Mehasseb added a second just before half-time. Ferguson struck again in the fifty-sixth minute and later scored a penalty in the eighty-third minute, while H. Franklin rounded off the scoring with two late strikes.
The away side showed little resistance. D. John received a yellow card in the seventeenth minute, and Treffelín were booked three more times before the break. The visitors had only two shots on target all evening and were outplayed in every department. Things came to a head after the break when the home side pulled the strings without much trouble.
Substitutions came thick and fast for both sides. Treffelín changed three players in the sixty-sixth minute and brought on D. John again in the seventy-ninth before Franklin's double in the ninetieth minute. The hosts had already reshuffled their attack with three changes before the hour mark.
