Nantun Zhiyun ran out comfortable winners against Heilongjiang Lava Spring in League One's regular season round 17, with the hosts taking a commanding 5-1 victory on Saturday. The result keeps the fourth-placed side well clear in the upper half of the table, while the visitors remain rooted in 13th place with a growing gap to play for.
Efmamjjasond González opened the scoring from the spot in the 11th minute, and the penalty taker was at it again twice more before half-time. He added a second in the 20th and a third in the 36th, moving into the kind of rhythm that makes a match turn early. Hu Mingfei and Erikys da Silva Ferreira each found the net in the first half as well, with Hu's goal coming just after the 45th-minute substitution. By then Nantun had already pulled away from anything resembling a contest.
The second half produced no further goals, though Aldo Kalulu Kyatengwa did add a late touchline finish in the 90th minute plus four. Heilongjiang made several changes in search of a response — Hu Jiajin, Zhu Jiaxuan, Ruan Yang, Xu Hui and Hu Mingfei all came off — but the visitors found no answer to the hosts' control. They created one big chance compared to three for Nantun, but the statistics tell the fuller story.
Heilongjiang actually registered more attacks at 94 against 86, and slightly more possession at 49 percent, yet the numbers did not translate into meaningful output. The visitors managed just one shot on target from 49 attempts, while Nantun hit seven on target from 16 attempts. It was a case of chances going begging, and the gap in shots accuracy — 20 per cent versus 44 per cent — underlined the difference in quality.
The result extends Nantun's unbeaten run and keeps pressure on the sides above them. Heilongjiang, meanwhile, remain eight points off the safety zone with only four wins from 22 games. To be fair, the visitors have shown they can score — their recent 4-4 draw with Guangxi Hengchen was an outlier — but consistency remains the issue. The table does not lie, and the gulf between them and Nantun is now 14 points.
