Accrington managed six shots on target but struggled to convert, finishing with 27 per cent accuracy. The numbers tell a simple story: Walsall created more, and the visitors were left exposed when they pushed forward.
The result moves Walsall further clear in third place with eight points from four games, while Accrington remain rooted to twenty-third with just two points. The hosts had already shown resilience in recent fixtures — two goalless draws before their 3-0 victory over Gillingham — and this performance felt like a step forward.
