About the player
Traoré's path to OH Leuven started far from the club's Belgian home ground. Born in Kankan, Guinea, he broke into the first team during the second half of the 2024–2025 season and quickly making himself useful, with 17 league appearances and three goals in the Championnat National. That form was enough to persuade OH Leuven to sign him for a fee of around €550,000, and he put pen to paper on a contract running until June 2028.
He made his professional debut for the club soon after arriving and has since settled into the first-team picture, taking the number 9 shirt as a centre-forward. He has continued to feature regularly for OH Leuven since his debut.
Traoré has also broken into senior international football with Guinea, earning his first cap in September 2025. He has been directly involved in the team's push through World Cup qualification, scoring a brace against Mozambique and adding another goal against Botswana. Four caps and three goals in his short international career so far.
