Kevin Spadanuda

Kevin Spadanuda's path to the top flight ran through some of Switzerland's smaller grounds. Born in Bülach, he came up through Grasshopper Club Zürich's youth ranks before dropping into the lower divisions, turning out for FC Schinznach-Bad, SC Schöftland and FC Baden on a series of free transfers before senior football really took hold. A return to FC Aarau in 2019 gave him a settled run in the Challenge League that lasted three seasons.

The move that changed things came in 2022, when Spadanuda joined AC Ajaccio in Ligue 1 on a free transfer. He made 22 appearances in France's top division that season, with a couple of outings for the club's reserve side in National 3 besides. It marked his only spell playing abroad. A year later he was back in Switzerland with FC Luzern, where he spent three seasons in the Super League.

Spadanuda joined FC Zürich on a free transfer this summer, signing a contract that runs until 2028. He arrives as a right-footed midfielder, but without a senior or youth cap for Switzerland to his name.
