Lukas Stephan Horst Daschner

Duisburg gave Lukas Daschner his first football education, through SV Beeckerwerth and Sportfreunde Hamborn 07 before Schalke 04's academy took him on in 2010. He returned to his home city three years later, joining MSV Duisburg's youth ranks, and it was there that he made his senior breakthrough, spending three seasons in the 3. Liga before a move to Hamburg.

At FC St. Pauli, Daschner spent three years in the 2. Bundesliga, a spell that included time out with the club's second team, before his contract ran down in the summer of 2023. VfL Bochum picked him up on a free transfer that July. He made 25 appearances during his time there.

His Bochum spell ended in February 2025, when he moved on loan to FC St. Gallen in the Swiss Super League, with an option to make the deal permanent. That option was exercised over the following summer, and Daschner signed a contract at St. Gallen running to 2028.

Daschner has represented Germany at youth level, turning out for the U17 and U19 sides as well as the Niederrhein regional selection, though he has not been capped by the senior national team.
