Xiang Yuwan

Xiang Yuwang's career is inseparable from the story of Chongqing Tongliang Long itself. He came through Chongqing Furen Middle School, where he won the Chinese Middle School Summer Football Association Cup in 2018, and later played for the Chongqing U18 side that took silver at the 14th National Games in 2021. When Chongqing Tongliang Long's senior squad was formed in late 2021, drawn largely from that same youth setup, Xiang joined immediately and stepped into professional football with the club in 2022.

That first season, in China League Two, brought a rare distinction: at 19, he was appointed captain, making him the youngest active captain in Chinese professional football at the time. He backed the armband with performances that earned him Best Rookie, Best Player (Silver Ball) and Best Scorer (Bronze Boot) that same year. In 2023, still captain, he led the team to the China League Two title and promotion to China League One, contributing 9 goals and 7 assists along the way.

The rise continued in China League One. In 2024 he scored 15 goals, finished fourth in the division's scoring charts and was named Best Youth Player and Best Local Player. In 2025 he added 18 league goals despite a nasal fracture picked up during the season, and the club's promotion means he is set to play in the Chinese Super League in 2026.

Internationally, Xiang has featured for China's U23 side in qualifiers for the 2026 AFC U23 Asian Cup, scoring against Vietnam and converting a penalty against Uzbekistan.
