Al Khaleej

Al Khaleej sit in the UAE Pro League. A fifth-place finish in 2017–18 remains the high point in the top division.

The club traces back to 1981, when Al-Yarmuk and Khor Fakkan merged and settled on the Al Khaleej name; some records point to 1980 as the year the two sides actually came together. In June 2017 the club dropped that name and became Khor Fakkan SC, in the emirate of Sharjah. It remains Sharjah property: Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi owns it, with Fahim bin Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi serving as chairman.

Supporters call the team Al-Mundiali — "the World Cup one" — a nickname earned for how many of its players ended up at the World Cup with the UAE national side. Khalil Ghanim Mubarak was the clearest case: through his decade at the club from 1984 to 1994, he won 52 caps, played at the 1984 and 1988 Asian Cups, and scored the goal against Qatar that sent the UAE to Italy in 1990. His brother Mubarak Ghanim made that same World Cup squad.

The Federation Cup came once, in 1993-94, alongside that season's Division One title. A President's Cup final in 1986-87 ended without the trophy. Selim Amallah and Tarik Tissoudali, both Morocco internationals, joined in 2025 and 2024. A UAE Pro League title has yet to follow any of it.
