GHA RFC

G-HA sit in the Scottish Premiership, the top flight of the domestic club game, playing out of Braidholm in Giffnock.

The current club took shape in May 2002, when Glasgow Southern RFC and Hutchesons' Aloysians RFC merged — the latter itself a product of an earlier union between Hutchesons' GSFP and Old Aloysians RFC.

Before the merger, players who came through the predecessor clubs went on to senior honours: Gordon Bulloch won 75 caps for Scotland and toured with the Lions in 2001 and 2005, while Euan Murray earned 66 caps and a Lions call-up of his own in 2009. More recently the academy has produced Johnny Ventisei, who won gold with Scotland at the 2023 Youth Commonwealth Games before signing for Glasgow Warriors.
