Lemgo

Two Bundesliga titles, in 1997 and 2003, sit at the centre of what TBV Lemgo built under Lajos Mocsai, who took charge in 1989 and stepped away in 1996. The DHB-Pokal followed the same rhythm, won four times between 1995 and 2020, and Europe came too: the EHF Cup Winners' Cup in 1996 and the EHF Cup twice, in 2006 and 2010.

The name on the badge has moved more than the club itself. What plays in the Bundesliga today traces back to Ballsportverein Lemgo, founded on 2 September 1911, with a handball department added only in 1924. Renamed Turn- und Ballspielverein Lemgo after the war, the club split its structure in 1998, sending amateur and youth handball into a new body, HSG Handball Lemgo, while the professional side kept the TBV name. In 2018 that senior team added "Lippe" to its title, becoming TBV Lemgo Lippe, tying itself more explicitly to the wider region it draws support from.

Florian Kehrmann embodies that continuity from the other side of the touchline: a player good enough to be counted among the club's notable names, he has coached the team since 2014.

Home games are played in blue and white in front of 4,790 people. GWD Minden is the old enemy, close enough geographically that the fixture carries the name of the whole Ostwestfalen-Lippe region rather than just the two towns.
