Nyva Ternopil

It began in Pidhaitsi, a small town in the same region, before it arrived in the city in the 1984/85 season and became Nyva Ternopil .

What Ternopil got in return was a club without silverware. Nyva have won nothing of consequence in the Ukrainian league or cup, and the story instead runs through the years when the club nearly stopped existing altogether.

On 26 September 2015, Nyva formally refused to travel for an away fixture against Helios. The end came on 2 February 2016, when the club tore up the contracts of every player on its books.

The home ground is the Roman Shukhevych Municipal Stadium, which the club shares with the city. Yellow and green have stayed constant through every move and every name — hence Zhovto-Zeleni , the yellow-and-greens, and the shirts that go with it.

The 2025/26 season finds Nyva in the First League, the second tier, along with a run in the Ukrainian Cup.
