Trelleborgs FF had let its women's side lapse for several years before the club put a team back on the pitch for the 2016 season.
The climb took the best part of a decade.
The top flight lasted one season. Across the whole of 2024 the side did not win a match, finished bottom and went straight back down to Elitettan. Skåne supplies most of the familiar opposition — Vittsjö GIK, and Rosengård from up the road in Malmö.
No trophy has come yet — not a title, not a cup.
