Legia hammered Radomiak Radom 5-0 at the Municipal Stadium Marshal Józef Piłsudski on Friday night, a fourth-round Ekstraklasa fixture that left little doubt about the gulf between the sides. The hosts moved clear in second place, while the visitors slipped further down the table. And here's the thing — the scoreline barely captured the dominance.
Sevcik opened the scoring in the seventh minute, a sharp strike that gave Radomiak no chance. Augustyniak doubled the advantage ten minutes in after VAR confirmed his effort, and Adamski added a third before the break. By then, Radomiak had been pinned back for large stretches, their defence overrun in midfield.
Kapustka made the difference twice in the second half, opening the floodgates in the 44th and then adding a fifth in the 51st. The Polish international had been quiet earlier but by then his movement was causing problems whenever he received the ball inside the box.
Three yellow cards arrived during the match — Zié Ouattara for Radomiak in the ninth minute, Adrián Diéguez just before half-time, and Kapustka himself in stoppage time. The hosts made eight substitutions across the final 45 minutes, rotating players rather than protecting a lead.
Legia dominated possession at 49 per cent, but their efficiency was what mattered. They registered 7 shots on target with 41 per cent accuracy, creating two big chances compared to Radomiak's single opportunity. The visitors managed more passes overall — 411 to 393 — but failed to turn that into meaningful attacks.
Legia sit second with 15 points from seven games, undefeated so far with four wins and three draws. Radomiak remain in 12th place on eight points after two victories, two draws and three defeats. To be fair, they had not travelled to make up the numbers, but this result suggests a season in trouble.
