Panetolikos beat Kalamata 2-0 in Super League 1 opener
Panetolikos saw off Kalamata 2-0 at their own stadium on Saturday evening. The result leaves the hosts top of the Super League 1 table after two games, while Kalamata sit in thirteenth place having lost both matches so far. By then the visitors had already tasted defeat against Aris Saloniki, but this time the pattern was different.
G. Granath opened the scoring at twenty-six minutes. Panetolikos had created four big chances compared to Kalamata's two, and Granath made sure one of them counted. The home side pressed forward with purpose, while Kalamata struggled to cut through the defence despite enjoying more possession.
