About the player
Elias Barsoum came through Djurgårdens IF's youth setup in Stockholm before making his first senior move in February 2022, joining Örebro SK as a free agent. He spent three seasons there, making around 62 to 64 appearances and contributing two goals and two assists from midfield.
At the end of 2024, with his Örebro contract expiring, Barsoum signed for Degerfors IF on a free transfer, agreeing a three-year deal. The move took effect at the start of 2025, registering 16 Allsvenskan appearances and two assists for his new club.
Barsoum's route to senior football included a brief look from the Swedish federation, with a call-up to a Sweden U17 Future Team training camp in 2019, though he has not gone on to add senior or official youth caps for the national side.
