Bahla SC came together in 1971, out of a town in the Ad Dakhiliyah Governorate with no top-flight pedigree to speak of. That absence has held: the Oman Professional League has never gone their way, and in the Sultan Qaboos Cup, a quarter-final has been as far as they have got. The Oman Federation Cup is where the club's name actually appears in the record books.

They won it once, in the 2021/22 season, beating Oman Club on penalties, 6-5, after the tie had finished 1-1. Bahla lost the next three in a row, in 2023, 2024 and 2025.

Yellow and blue is still what they play in.

A league title has never come.
