Croatia U20 Women

There is no club here, only a federation's answer to the calendar of European age-group volleyball. It gathers around Zagreb, where the Bojan Stranić Volleyball Hall on Jarunska Street serves as its base and the PESG sports school supplies further training space.

The furthest this generation-by-generation side has gone came in 2006, at the CEV Women's Junior European Championship in Saint-Dié-des-Vosges, France, where Croatia reached the final and lost 0-3 to Italy, taking silver ahead of bronze medallists Ukraine. A fourth place followed two years later, in 2004, and a fifth place at the FIVB U20 World Championship in 2001 mark the rest of the record without matching it.

The squad exists to feed the senior national team rather than any league — it plays no part in the Superliga Women, and its opponents are federations, not clubs. Ana Burilović, now on the books at the University of Colorado, moved up through this line to the senior side.
