ZOK Osijek Women

The club now competing in Osijek did not begin from nothing. It picked up after a previous outfit, also called ŽOK Osijek and before that Pivovara Osijek, collapsed under financial and organisational trouble, and on 5 September 2013 a new side was registered under the name Osijek 06 to carry the city's women's volleyball forward. Women's volleyball in the city stretches back further still, through names such as Tekstilac, Proleter and Željezničar, reaching the European stage twice, in the 2008/09 and 2017/18 Challenge Cup.

The current club plays as ŽOK Osijek, in the Nastavno-športska dvorana Gradski vrt, a hall raised in 2009 for the World Handball Championship and seating 3,538. Locally it goes by the nickname Najljepši klub u gradu — the most beautiful club in the city.

The Slavonian derby against ŽOK Enna Vukovar remains the fixture that matters most to supporters, a rivalry that predates the 2013 restart and has carried over into the club's new era.

Much of the current work sits in the academy rather than the senior side: eleven coaches run four age categories plus two volleyball schools, and recent seasons have brought a national bronze medal for the cadet girls and silver for the young cadets. The senior team, by contrast, has yet to add a title of its own since the 2013 refoundation, still working to match what Osijek volleyball achieved under its earlier names.
