Hartberg 2 Women

The Stadtwerke-Hartberg-Halle on Wiesengasse holds only 350 for volleyball. Hartberg 2 Women play their second-division fixtures in that smaller footprint, inside a building the town lists simply as the Hartberghalle.

The team is the reserve side of TSV Hartberg Volleyball, which began life in January 1985 as one section of the wider multi-sport club TSV Hartberg before splitting off as its own association in June 2000. That split explains why the volleyball wing now runs its own website separately from the parent club's, even as the reserve team keeps the same blue and white that TSV Hartberg has always worn.

There is no badge or branding drawn up just for the second team; it plays under the main club's colours and, as far as anyone has recorded, without a nickname of its own. It has also collected no titles, which is not a remarkable thing to say about a reserve side competing in the 2. Bundesliga Women.

Hartberg itself is a small Styrian town of around 6,700 people, and the volleyball section's second team fits that scale: a hall with a few hundred seats, in a town where the sport had to be carved out as its own concern after fifteen years of sharing a roof with everything else the TSV name covered.
