The club, formally Union Volleyballclub Hausmannstätten-Vasoldsberg and known simply as VCH, was founded in 1991. Its women's team now plays in the 2. Bundesliga Women.
The Steirer-Cup, the regional Styrian cup, has gone through VCH's hands more than once, though it was the men's side that lifted it, winning in 2003 and again in 2014, with a third success recorded somewhere between those years. The women's team, for all the club's regional standing, had not added its name to that trophy as of 2022.
Everything at VCH still traces back to the hall on Hauptstraße.
