Hartberg Women

TSV Hartberg's women have played in the Austrian Volley League Women (AVL Women) since 2003/04. The hardest was 2019/20, when they lost all 18 matches and finished last.

The team came late to a club that already had a history. TSV Hartberg's volleyball section dates from 1985. The women became a separate section on 24 May 2000 and reached the top flight three years later.

Their best stretch came around 2011. In 2010/11 they played in the CEV Challenge Cup, the European competition run by the continental volleyball confederation. They went out in the second round to the Dutch side Sliedrecht, losing 3-0 in both legs. The home leg finished 18-25, 13-25, 16-25. The same season took them to the Austrian Cup final, where SG SVS Post beat them 3-0. They returned to the final on 21 February 2013 and met the same opponent. SVS Post won again in straight sets, 25-22, 25-18, 25-19. The women have no trophy to show for either run. The Hartberg cup wins of 2007 and 2013 and the league title of 2026 belong to the men's team.

Stadtwerke-Hartberg-Halle, known locally as the Hartberghalle, has an official volleyball tribune of 350 seats. On 31 October 2023 the CEV Cup brought Warta Zawiercie of Poland to town, and 1,718 people came to watch.
