«The Yellow, White and Blues»
The ground on Aleja Zygmuntowskie opened in 2014 on the site the club had used before, and Motor moved in from the old MOSiR-Bystrzyca pitch. Arena Lublin holds 15,500.
That changed in 2024, when Motor beat Arka Gdynia 2:1 in the play-off final.
The name comes from the factory. The club was set up in December 1950 as Stal Lublin, and took the Motor name in 1957.
The first spell in the top division ran from 1980 to 1992, nine seasons in all, and the high point of it was 1984/85: seventh place, with Leszek Iwanicki scoring 14 league goals.
The 2001 season was played under a different badge altogether. Facing debts it could not service, the club reorganised as Lubelski Klub Piłkarski, returned to the Motor name, incorporated in 2010 and passed into the hands of Zbigniew Jakubas, who bought the controlling stake in 2020.
