OÖ Derby against Oberbank Steelvolleys Linz-Steg is what draws the crowd to Perg. The rivalry outlasted the club's own name, which has changed more often than most: what started life in 2000 as SG Sport Mayr Schwert-Perg became UNION Schwertberg Volleyball in 2012, came back in 2014, and only settled as SG Mühlviertel Volleys, known locally as M4V, in 2020, once Perg and Rohrbach joined forces behind it.

The team plays its matches at the Donauwell Arena, a three-court hall on Waidhoferstraße.

What has stayed constant since the restart is the women's side, and it delivered the club's clearest results: the 2. Bundesliga title in the 2022/23 season, which sent the team up to the Austrian Volley League, and a second championship in 2025/26 that repeated the promotion.

An Austrian Cup run to match those league finishes has not followed.
