«Panthers»
When St. Pölten's men won through the relegation play-offs in 2025, both the club's senior sides — men and women — found themselves playing in the Austrian Volleyball League at the same time. St. Pölten II, the men's reserve side, competes a tier below in the AVL II.
The volleyball section grew out of SPORTUNION St. Pölten, the city's general sports club founded on 4 October 1945, and was set up separately in 1975, carrying the parent club's name for decades before being spun off in 2025 into its own branch, Volleyballteam USP Panthers.
The women's side holds the clearer silverware: the 2019 NÖVV-Cup, the Lower Austria cup competition, won 3:2 against Südstadt. Matches for the section are played at the sports hall of the HTL St. Pölten.
