In 2021–22 TFOC finished fourth in the Ligue A Féminine, the highest place the club has reached in the top division, and it has never won the title. The same year L'Équipe named Romain Pitou the league's best coach. Pitou was already in charge in 2018, so that season came after several years of work with the same head coach.

The club began in 1993, when the volleyball clubs of Terville and Florange merged. The name Terville Florange Olympique Club keeps both towns, and TFOC is simply its abbreviation. The side plays in blue and white at the Centre sportif Le 111, which holds 1,000.

Before the top division came a run of lower-level titles: the Nationale 2 in 2002 and 2005, then the Elite Féminine in 2011. In 2019 the club won the Elite Féminine again and the amateur Coupe de France in the same season, having won that cup for the first time in 2013. The club also counts 23 regional titles.

The training centre opened in 2016 and was accredited in 2020. Manon Louessard came through it and is described as a pure product of the centre.

The club's main rivalry is with Vandœuvre-Nancy Volley-Ball (VNVB). Both clubs are from Lorraine, and their meetings are called the derby lorrain.
