It grew out of a side that entered the Polish league in 1991 under the name Provide Włocławek, changed hands a year later when the paint manufacturer Nobiles took over, and reached the league final in that very first top-flight season as runners-up.
The exception came after the 2014–15 season, the first time since 1992 that the team missed the playoffs. Igor Miličić, who had played in the 2003 championship side, took over as coach and turned the rebuild into titles in 2018 and 2019, either side of a Polish Cup win in 2020. Then, in 2023, the club won the FIBA Europe Cup, the first Polish club to take a major European trophy.
The fixture against Twarde Pierniki Toruń, played out as the Derby of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, is treated locally as the most important game in Polish basketball.
