Artland — BG Göttingen: 81:69, Pro A

Artland beat Göttingen 81 to 69 in the Pro A on 2 October 2026. The hosts stayed level in fifth place while the visitors slipped from third. And here's the thing — this was not the outcome most people were expecting.

Artland shot 26 from 53 field goals compared with Göttingen's 24 from 63. The hosts hit nine three-pointers from twenty attempts, while the visitors managed five from twenty-seven. To be fair, Göttingen grabbed more rebounds with thirty-two to twenty-eight, but they could not convert that advantage.

Artland recorded eighteen assists against thirteen from Göttingen. The hosts also took eight steals to five, and only turned the ball over fourteen times compared with thirteen from the visitors. By then it was clear that Göttingen had spent too long looking for shots that were not there.

We had given a prediction for a Göttingen victory at fifty-seven percent confidence. The match went the other way because the visitors left themselves flat-footed in the shooting department. Nothing dramatic happened — just a steady drift in efficiency that Artland held onto.

Artland remain on twenty-one wins from thirty-four games with thirteen defeats. Göttingen have twenty-three wins and eleven losses, still three points clear of the hosts in the table. The visitors never got going enough to pull away, and that is what decided it.
