DCU Saints

The fixture DCU Saints care about most is the North-South Derby against UCD Marian, one from the north side of Dublin and one from the south.

The Saints have used their current name only since the 2007–08 season. When the games moved to the Dublin City University Sports Complex on the Glasnevin Campus, in Dublin 9, the club took the university's name and became DCU Saints. The club's National Cup wins came in consecutive years, 1993 and 1994. The Saints also have a cup win recorded for 1984, though some accounts credit that one to St Vincent's Dublin. Since the change of name and venue the Saints have been a university-campus club playing in the Irish Super League.

Killester Basketball Club supplies the second derby, the North Dublin derby. Where UCD Marian are the opponent across the city, Killester are a club from the Saints' own side of it.
