The National Basketball Arena in Tymon Park, Tallaght, has been Ireland's main indoor venue for the sport since it opened in January 1993. It holds about 2,500. Éanna, known as the Lions, play their big games there. Day to day, the club works out of the school it is named after, Coláiste Éanna in Ballyroan, Dublin 16, and also trains at Tymon Bawn in Tallaght.

The school is where it started. Former Coláiste Éanna pupils and former Notre Dame players set up a team in 2005 and entered it in Division 2 for the 2005/2006 season. In 2009 the club took in Notre Dame's junior side.

The senior side's rise came in steps. In 2018–19 they won the Northern Conference of National League Division One and earned promotion to the Super League. Competing there as Griffith College Éanna, they won their first Super League title in 2024, beating Killester 93–61 in the final.

The best-known name on the books plays a different sport. Michael Darragh MacAuley won five All-Ireland medals as a Dublin Gaelic footballer and was Footballer of the Year in 2013. He has played for Éanna since he was a child.

The youth section added to the trophy shelf in April 2025, when the U14 team won the All-Ireland Club Championship without losing a game all season.

Éanna reached the All-Ireland National Cup final in January 2020 and lost 78–68 to Templeogue. They reached it again in January 2023 and lost 74–69 to Maree, a five-point margin the second time.
